Pa Joe or Taa Mungwa as he was fondly called was an educator who started his teaching career in 1970 as a Biology teacher at the Bilingual Grammar school Molyko, Buea where he taught for 6 years.
He met and married his wife, Josephine Manka Nchu in 1975 before moving on to Bangante as Senior Discipline Master at Lycee Bangante. In 1980, he moved to Bamenda where he served as Principal of G.B.S.S.(G.B.H.S.) Bamenda from 1980 until his appointment in 1986 as Chief of Service for Pedagogy and Cooperation at the Provincial Delegation of Education, Buea. This position he held until his voluntary retirement in 1996.
At retirement, Pa Joe returned to his family estate, and set up a farm at Asissong Bafut where he resided until Thursday December 9, 2010 when the cold hands of death snatched him in a ghastly car accident while he was returning home from the airport.
Pa Joe is a graduate of Sacred Heart College, Mankon(2nd Batch -1962), a graduate of CCAST Bambili and ENS Anex Bambili.
